3 Day First Aid at Work (Level 3)

This course is designed for nominated First Aiders in the workplace and runs over at least 3 days with 18 learning hours.  The course covers the following subjects;
Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
Assessment of the situation
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
Resuscitation, Choking, Heart attacks, Asthma
Control of bleeding including use of tourniquet and Haemostatic dressings
Fractures and spinal injuries
Sprains and strains dislocations
Head Injuries
Eye injuries, chest injuries
Diabetes, Stroke, Epilepsy
Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
Poisoning
Burns
Bandaging

1 day Emergency First Aid at Work  (Level 3)

This course is a basic course for First AIders in the workplace who will work to the qualified 3 day First Aid at Work personnel.  This course is a hands on course that covers the following areas;

Legalities, responsibilities and reporting

Assessment of the situation
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
Resuscitation, Choking, Shock, Epilepsy
Control of bleeding including use of tourniquet and Haemostatic dressings
Burns and Minor Injuries

2 day Paediatric First Aid (Level 3)

This 2 day course satisfies the guidelines and critieria as laid down in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted for people working with children.  It covers the following areas:
Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
Assessment of the situation
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
Resuscitation, Choking
Control of bleeding including use of tourniquet and Haemostatic dressings
Fractures, Sprains and strains dislocations
Head Injuries
Foreign bodies
Eye injuries
Diabetes, Stroke, Epilepsy, Infantile convulsions
Asthma, Meningitis, Sickle Cell Anaemia,
Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
Poisoning
Burns
Heat and Cold related injuries
